VVN Networks Launches Dramatically Reduced Cost Video Collaboration Service Built on Vidyo Infrastructure

Mar 6, 2013

Vidyo, Inc., the first company to deliver personal telepresence, today announced it will be partnering with VVN Networks Ltd, a new joint venture specifically set up to take advantage of the rapidly growing market for video-based collaboration.  Using Vidyo’s disruptive technology and offering it as a hosted service, VVN Networks will be able to offer a video conferencing service at industry changing prices without requiring significant investment in infrastructure.

The venture has been founded by two national Vidyo distributors, Neowave (UK) and Videnda Distribution (Ireland), as well as global service provider Vu2Vu Networks (Ireland, USA, South Africa) to meet the cross-border video conferencing demands of enterprises.   Combining the complementary skills, expertise and reach of all companies, and with ambitious plans for expansion through the recruitment of additional partners, VVN Networks will provide the global infrastructure required by businesses that operate across multiple countries and regions. Services that will be provided include:

  • A secure encrypted video communications service that can be bundled with voice.
  • Interconnectivity between legacy systems, providing B2B interoperability. Dedicated private networks can be provided as a managed service upon request.
  • Development of partner niche applications by utilizing Vidyo’s powerful full suite of APIs.

“This will not only significantly expand the reach of Vidyo through the distributors but will also create material new streams of revenue for resellers”, said Fraser Dean, Sales Director – UK, Ireland, Benelux & South Africa. “The collaborative force of these seasoned video conferencing distributors provides an exciting and attractive model for accessing high quality and secure video communications services that is best enabled on Vidyo’s infrastructure.”

Whilst VVN Networks will provide White Label service, the product will be individually branded in each region. The product will be available as NeoCloud through NeoWave, Vu2VuClickTM through Vu2Vu Networks; Videnda will be making the cloud service available to selected resellers and service providers.

“Vidyo’s sterling reputation for secure, scalable solutions, as well as its multi-platform approach to video conferencing, was huge incentive for us to collaborate and launch VVN Networks,” said Margaret Brewer, Joint Managing Director of VVN Networks’ leading NeoCloud in the UK, “We’re delighted to have the support of Vidyo in this new venture as we move forward in recruiting additional partners around the world.”

“This partnership brings impressive synergy, combining NeoWave and Videnda’s strong market-driven expertise, with our own technical capabilities.” added Godfrey Fletcher, CEO Vu2Vu Group “We’re all enthusiastic advocates of Vidyo’s technology and we’re excited to be working together to support the broader uptake of video communication.”
